Our Understanding

What this is. A small, intimate space where I share what I have received. There are no fees, and it is not a commercial venture.

What I offer. My time, my music and my attention, in riyaz beside me at my home. You see a raga unfold and feel how it is built, and I teach as part of that.

What I ask.

Riyaz almost every day, five to six hours, seated with me, keeping the tanpura when needed.
Punctuality, and full attention. Phones are away during riyaz.
Honest effort, and honest feedback in both directions.
Advance notice if you must miss a day, and a message before you leave.
Respect for my home, my family and my privacy, and for the other students.

The first month. Everyone begins with a trial month. At the end, we both decide, freely, whether to continue. Either of us may say no without needing a reason.

Staying and online. A room to stay is offered only in special cases, and only after the trial month. It is for adults (18+), and house rules are agreed beforehand. Online participation is possible in special cases, with the same commitment.

Notice. Either of us may end this with a week’s notice, after the trial month. Nothing is owed on either side.

Respect for the music. What I share is shared in trust. Please don’t record or circulate our sessions without asking me.
